Getting the thumbs up and crashes
After getting home from my training trip to Saariselkä, a lot has happened. I have tried to keep up a good pace trainingwise and ride as much as possible. The weather has mostly been really good and warm for training, so I have gotten a taste how the desert might feel in South America.
Last week I got a letter of acceptance from the A.S.O. so the whole project is now feeling a lot more real. This also is a cause of stress, since I now need to get really organized in order to be fully prepared for the race, which as of today is only in 154 days. And there is tons to do before that….
Last week I had a pretty nasty crash at the Hyvinkää Motocross track, when I failed to clear a jump on my second lap. After flying sideways I lost control and landed pretty much on my head, as the bike somersaulted violently beside me. Again the neck support showed it´s value, as my head and neck didn´t get injured in any way. My chest and collarbone, however got a pretty good pounding, so I decided to call it a day and make an appointment with the doctor. Tomorrow I will have more information about the damage and I hope I will be able to continue my riding, as I will be very busy in September and I doubt I will have time to ride much then.
I have some really interesting news coming soon, so stay around! 😉
